On Saturday evening, June 7th, at approximately 7:24 PM, East Brandywine Fire Company was dispatched to the intersection of Bollinger Road and Applecross Boulevard for a reported motor vehicle accident. EMS from Minquas Fire Company was also alerted to respond.
Upon arrival, units found a two-vehicle crash in the intersection with both vehicles sustaining significant damage. One of the vehicles had left the roadway and come to rest in nearby bushes.
EMTs from East Brandywine immediately began evaluating the occupants of both vehicles, while firefighters worked quickly to secure the vehicles, control fluid leaks, and clear debris from the roadway. Fortunately, all individuals involved were evaluated on scene and did not require transport to the hospital.
Fling's Towing was requested to remove the damaged vehicles. While crews operated, Bollinger Road was closed to ensure the safety of first responders and motorists.
East Brandywine Fire Company was on scene for approximately 30 minutes. Rescue 49, Ladder 49, QRS 49, Utility 49, along with Deputy 49 and Assistant 49, all made the response.
