On Sunday, May 2nd at 1:20 pm, EBFC volunteers were dispatched to the 1100blk of Osborne Rd in East Brandywine for a riding mower on fire.

Chief and Assistant 49 made the response first and were advised the mower was approx. 50 feet away from the residence and other exposures. Engine 49-2 and Engine 49-5 also made the response.

Chief 49 arrived with a riding mower well off and advised Engine 49-2 to pull into the stone driveway and lead off with the bumper line. Crews arrived on the scene and stretched the one line and had the fire under control quickly.

Crews wet down the area surrounding the mower as well and then cleared a short time later.
