On Saturday March 5th just before 2pm the East Brandywine Fire Company was dispatched to the unit block of Frans Way in Upper Uwchlan for a brush fire.

Deputy 49 was the first to arrive and reported a 50x50 area of brush on fire with exposures to the rear of a residence. Engine 49-2, 49-5 and Rescue 49 all made the response. Engine 49-2 arrived and pulled into the driveway and deployed a handline while Engine 49-5 prepared to supply them with water if needed.

The crew's were able to get the fire under control quickly and stayed on location for approx. 30 minutes wetting the area down and making sure the fire was completely out.
