EBFC Volunteers conducted the first of three training sessions focused on rope rescue Wednesday night.

Training Officer Peta and Deputy Ora gave an overview of the rope equipment cache carried on Ladder and Rescue 49. Firefighters separated into two groups practicing basic knots and the z-rig setup. Combining these skills, the two groups demonstrated setting up the z-rig system for a low angle rescue.

29 members were in attendance.
