On Saturday morning at 11:09am the East Brandywine Fire Company along with EMS from Washington Hose were dispatched to Reeceville Rd in front of Freedom Village for a vehicle accident. Initial reports were of two vehicles involved partially blocking the roadway.

Battalion 49, Rescue 49, Ladder 49 and QRS 49 all made the response and upon arrival found one vehicle in the grass across from Freedom Village's entrance and another vehicle up onto the curb and grass on the other side of the roadway with debris in the roadway as well.

EMT's from QRS 49 checked on the occupants of both vehicles while fire crews secured the hazards and placed oil dry down on the roadway. Crews also provided traffic control around the incident.

Thankfully no major injuries occurred and no one needed to be transported to the hospital. Crews were able to clear within 30 minutes. Thank you to Flings Towing for the quick response and removal of the vehicles.
