| At 7:07 PM this evening, East Brandywine Fire Company units were dispatched to the unit block of Ottawa Lane in West Brandywine Township for a reported mobile/trailer home fire.
Engine 49-2, Engine 49-5, Ladder 49, Rescue 49, Utility 49-1, and Chief 49 responded with 21 members.
Crews arrived on location to find light smoke showing from the residence. The crew from Engine 49-2 established a water supply and stretched a 1¾-inch handline to the front door while additional crews prepared for interior operations.
Firefighters made entry into the home and began opening up to locate the source of the smoke. Crews quickly discovered a fire involving the floor area and space underneath the trailer. The fire was rapidly extinguished, and crews worked to ensure there was no further extension.
