| This evening, members of East Brandywine Fire Company continued our ongoing commitment to training and preparedness during our weekly drill night.
We kicked off a new Truck Operations training series, with tonight's focus on Vent-Enter-Search (VES) techniques. Members practiced performing VES operations both from the aerial device and from ground ladders, building critical skills used in search and rescue situations.
Our Junior Firefighters spent the evening sharpening their fundamentals by practicing handline operations and hose handling techniques. At the same time, several of our Driver/Operator members became more familiar with the new Engine 49-1 as it prepares to enter service, ensuring they are ready to safely and effectively operate our newest apparatus.
While training was underway, our EMS crews remained in service and responded to multiple calls for assistance throughout the evening. Whether participating in training or answering emergency calls, our members remain committed to serving the residents and visitors of East Brandywine Township and the surrounding communities.
