July 1, 2026

As of 10:15 AM this morning (July 1st), the Officers and Members of the East Brandywine Fire Company are proud to announce that our new 2025 Pierce Enforcer Engine 49-1 has officially been placed into service.

Engine 49-1 features a 1,500 GPM pump, a 1,000-gallon water tank, and seating for six firefighters, providing our members with another modern, capable apparatus to better serve our community.

This engine is a stock unit acquired through Glick Fire Equipment Company. The project was spearheaded by Deputy Chief Vince D'Amico, and we're especially honored that this delivery marked Curt Woerth's final apparatus delivery before his retirement after many years of dedicated service to the fire service community.

Engine 49-1 is an addition to our existing fleet and will alternate as the first-due engine each month with Engine 49-2. This rotation will help reduce wear and tear on both apparatus while ensuring our firefighters continue responding with reliable, state-of-the-art equipment.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Curt Woerth, the entire team at Glick Fire Equipment Company, Deputy Chief Vince D'Amico, our Apparatus Committee, and all of the members who dedicated countless hours preparing Engine 49-1 for frontline service.

Engine 49-1 will proudly serve the residents and visitors of East Brandywine Township, West Brandywine Township, Upper Uwchlan Township, and our surrounding mutual aid communities for many years to come.

Please join us in welcoming Engine 49-1 to the East Brandywine Fire Company family!
