T3 Training: Back to Basics

On Wednesday evening April 29th, East Brandywine Fire Company volunteers participated in a "Back to Basics" training. After a couple of months of hazardous materials training the goal was to get outside and stretch both attack and supply lines.

Twenty seven volunteers attended the training, in which Training Officer Chris Keen and Captain Joe Monestere selected a couple of sites to practice laying a supply line. Particular emphasis was placed on both forward and reverse lays. Additionally both 1.75 inch and 2.5 inch attack lines were deployed. Through out the evolutions the crew of the Ladder truck practiced laddering buildings and roof operations.
